After a lot of research and questioning we took a leap we never thought we would.. owning goats! We opted to bring in some pure bred Nubian milking does, to support our bottle lambs, as well as for our own use in a step towards our own sustainability. We chose Nubians; both for the large volume of milk (as they produce an average of 3 to 4L per day), and because they have one of the highest butterfat content, which is great for cheeses and ice cream!
